Can you make the Shan Shen Bu meme for free?
Updated · Shanshenbu Dance
Filming the real step yourself is free, but the fast lunges take practice and have hurt people. We found no free TikTok effect or CapCut template for it. There is no free tier on Shanshenbu Dance; full videos use credits (a 10-second 720p video uses 40 credits).

Free ways
- Film yourself doing the real step: free, but the fast lunges take practice, and Chinese hospitals reported young people hurt trying it.
- A TikTok effect or CapCut template: we found none for this dance on 19 October 2026 (the CapCut template called "Flash Step" is from 2024 and isn't it).
- A general AI video app with free trial credits: you write the dance prompt yourself, and it may not come out as the flash step.
What Shanshenbu Dance does differently
- Made for this one dance: the prompt is written around the flash step's stiff stand, sudden lunge and snap back, so you write nothing.
- Only your photo goes in: no original footage or sound is used, and the beat is made for your video (or off).
- 5, 10 or 15 seconds, 9:16 for TikTok or 16:9, 480p or 720p (the other generators we checked make one length).
- A cat and dog version, with your own pet standing up to dance.
What it costs here
A 10-second 720p video uses 40 credits; credits from $6.99 for 50, or a monthly plan. Credits never expire, and failed videos give them back automatically.
